Contact us with any questions Our History Founded in 1909 as the Beacon Hill Bowling Club, we are one of Western Canada's longest-standing sporting institutions. For over 117 years, our club has remained a constant in Beacon Hill Park, evolving from a modest first green into a premier destination for both lawn bowling and croquet. From hosting international Empire tours in the 1920s to the amalgamation of our Men’s and Women’s clubs in 1981, our history is a testament to the enduring appeal of life on the green. Today, we continue to honor that legacy by fostering the same sportsmanship and community spirit that our founders envisioned over a century ago.
