Gopal Gowda competed in the croquet nationals in Toronto where he had a terrific tournament, going 5-1 in the preliminary rounds before falling in the quarterfinals. Overall an outstanding results Gopal, congratulations.

Twelve players—six experienced and six novices—played five balanced rounds in perfect weather. When we first teased that Victoria was gearing up to host the Western Canada Open Golf Croquet Championship, the event was still a bold idea gathering steam. Now the wait is over. The concept has become a championship — and the countdown is officially on. Victoria will host its first ever Western Canada Open Golf Croquet Championship from August 22–24, 2026. The championship field is capped at 16 players, and we now have a full slate confirmed.
